American jazz trombonist. Born : 31 January1936 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Garnett has worked with The Crusaders, Herbie Hancock, Lionel Hampton, Billy Cobham, Dizzy Gillespie and others. In later years he worked as composer for movies and television stations; 1989 led the orchestra for the movie "Harlem Nights".
