Swedish opera singer (baritone and tenor), born 2 May 1942 in Åseda, Kronoberg County. He first studied singing at A-C Edholmer in Växjö, then at the Hochschule für Darstellende Kunst in Vienna 1958–1960 and at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm's opera class 1961–1962. He was employed at the Royal Theater 1963–1997. He played many large and small roles, participated in over 2000 performances at the Royal Opera. He has guest starred in Norway, Finland, Russia, Gothenburg and Drottningholm, and participated in the TV recordings Night Flying by Dallapiccola and Pelle Svanslös. He has received scholarships from Kronoberg County Council's cultural scholarship, Kristina Nilsson scholarship, Sandrew scholarship, Tore Wretman's fund and Jussi Björling's scholarship
