Magi-Kool Doods

Comedy HC Punk band from northern California which sought to expand the definition of sound performance, by radically challenging ideas of composition, good taste and SEX. Childhood blood brothers, Upside Dan and Mick Mucus formed the group after the demise of Gift of Goats and the hiatus of Anal Mucus. Performances were often completely improvised and could include trash, fireworks, nudity, serenades and microwave ovens. Despite the duo forming the band as a bridge between" serious" projects Magikool Doods became a long lived vehicle for Mick and Dan affording them the opportunity to share live billings with such non punk legends like Blow Fly and Fishbone and becoming amongst the pairs most beloved efforts by music fans.
