Paul Günther

German dance orchestra leader in the 1950s, stayed with his orchestra in Zurich in the years 1953 (May and August), 1955 (March, June and Dec.), 1956 (December) 1958 (June and Nov-Dec), usually for a one-month-engagement. Except on May 26th 1953, it was a great show, he and his orchestra were accompanying Kary Barnet, Peter Igelhoff, Otto Gerd Fischer, and Werner Preuß.The orchestra was announced as known from Radio Munich and Stuttgart (Bayrischer Rundfunk / Südwestfunk) (Source: Advert in "Die Tat", Zurich dd 21-05-1953). In 1958 the orchestra was announced as German Orchestra. In a press clipping (Freiburger Nachrichten, Freiburg CH dd 06-09-1969) Paul Günther is mentioned as manager of Les Clochards.
