Bankistan is a Moscow based sonic artist, computer musician, primarily focused on algorithmic composition, generative structures, and stochastic processes which work bridges improv performance, installation and multichannel activations of acoustic space. Bankistan works explore the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure. This material is devoid of any distinct genre limits. It is aimed primarily for searching and disquisition of aural objects with a special accent on procedurality and the possibilities of the articulation of the auditory by using different hardware, software and mixed media technics.
