Profound Nation

Profound Nation was conceptualized in 2010 as an aim to realize the meeting of all types of creatives from around the globe under one banner to preserve heritage through art, educate and inspire and help design a conducive atmosphere for spiritual exploration and growth and to bring about innovative and influential perspectives towards the over all improvement of well being and living. The name came up as a brand name, a description and vision of the entire movement, it is meant to be a community of creatives bringing about actual change in society and in individuals through the arts. In 2011 Profound Nation released their first package titled SING AWAY YOUR BUES with remixes from Chymamusique, Dj Hypnosis, Dj Phat Cat Later in 2012 Profound Nation expanded into a pairing once more when it was joined by the young and dynamic producer Blaque Core who later introduced yet another open minded young passionate house head and producer Xerophytic Soul who joined Profound Nation in their package ANOTHER WORLD EP released earlier in 2013 Profound Nation has worked with a number of powerful artists such as KaySoul, Lerato, Lunar and Kilo just to mention a few Since its inception, Profound Nation has played a significant role in mentoring, tutoring, even developing artists and aims to go beyond the borders of South Africa to bring about the same movement to the rest of the world. Initially Profound Nation was founded on the basis of mixing different art forms and musical expressions to bring about a dynamic power house of an art movement. " Great is the beauty of music, not limited by mood, attitude, personality and perception, that it inspires raw and intense emotions giving a wonderful and lively experience to whoever that is ready to consume it. " Over the years, since its inception, the Profound Nation concept has evolved, enveloping more mediums of expression along the way, from releasing music to telling stories of the experience of the self, stories of African folklore, merging the whole experience with music. From releases that give pure untainted feeling of the atmosphere experienced in the streets of South Africa, Profound Nation has made possible for the world to experience that unexplored inexperienced side of Africa from the actual African perspective. Through music and other art forms Profound Nation has given its audience a fuller experience of the South African life, the ways of the peoples of South Africa and how and where in the globe do they fit. At its heart is music however the idea is to expand the whole experience beyond music, to inspire Spiritual growth and to be witness to the becoming of the super-human that all humanity is evolving into at a slower larger scale. The philosophy behind Profound Nation is to bring about speedy evolution to consciousness through any and all available forms especially through art, this comes from the realization that the modern generation is very expressive through art and consumes as much art as it creates, therefore it would only be sensible to employ this whole occurrence as a means towards awakening of peoples. Paying attention to Profound Nation releases, the titles, even the stories told, one finds that there is more depth to Profound Nation than what meets the eye.
