José Joaquim Júnior

Angolan musician, composer and guitarist (b. April 17, 1953 - d. January 15, 2022) He began his career in Braguês, Sambizanga where he joined the Os Kinzas in the mid-1960s. In 1968 he was invited by José Massano Júnior to join and found the África Show. After Angola's independence he joined the Conjunto Merengue group and then in 1977 he joined the Os Kiezos. In 1986 he left the Os Kiezos to join the Instrumental 1º de Maio which later changed its name to Semba África. In 2002 he returned to the Os Kiezos.
