AnalogMonks

AnalogMonks is an electronic duo created in 2008 in Moscow, Russia. Russia. Moscow. The musicians Sergey Lebedev, who is performing in the project under the name of BigTune, and Konstantin Poznekov, alias kost_n_kost, got acquainted in 2006 at the record studio during the work on a single of the band 5diez(#####). At that time Kostya was responsible for the electronic sound of the single and worked simultaneously at the advancement of his own solo project “kost_n_kost”. After he had leaved 5diez, Kostya gave himself up entirely to the electronic music, worked on creation of his own compositions and mixes, became familiar with new instruments, invented unique musical moves, acted as a DJ at some Moscow clubs. Sergey, a son of the famous in the jazz circles trombonist Vladimir Lebedev, occupied himself with the music at the home studio and enjoyed it much, perfecting his skill of keyboard player and electronic musician, but he didn’t release his compositions for the wide circle of people. A casual contact of the musicians resulted in making a new electronic project, where the courageous ideas, its qualified and masterly realization gave life to the vigorous, sensual and energetic music… Using analog and digital synthesizers, as well as “live” instruments, AnalogMonks create an impetuous sound, where interesting melodious lines weave with the non-standard arrangements. Now and then some invited musicians (the Maneken, Sveta Zhavoronkova, Julia Marks, Gregor Karpov(#####) take part in the duo records. There isn’t much yet in the “record-box” of the duo – in November 2010 came out the first album under the same name AnalogMonks Lineup: Kost_n_kost (Konstantin Poznekov) – guitars, synthesizers and other studio instruments; BigTune (Sergey Lebedev) – vocal and other studio instruments.
