American actress and pianist. Born July 5th, 1926 in Los Angeles, California. Died December 18, 1971 in Los Angeles, California (age of 45). Niece of composer Robert Armbruster. She was a child prodigy and pianist at age 10.Her mother was an accomplished pianist and teacher who guided Diana's early musical career. By age 12, she was playing with the Los Angeles Junior Symphony Orchestra. Her first movie was "There's Magic in Music" aka "The Hard-Boiled Canary" (1941), under the name Dolly (a short version of her real name, Dolores). She signed a long-term contract with Paramount in 1942 at the age of 16 and had her name changed to Diana Lynn. She was primarily active 1940s-1950s. Though she grew tired of being forced to play piano as a child and playing in front of people, she still recorded music. In 1947, a three-record album of Lynn's piano playing included Mozart's Rondo, Laura, and Body and Soul.
