Dayton Harp

Born in June 16, 1923, in Lakeland, Florida. Died May 11, 1981, at the age of 57 in Fallon, Nevada. A hillbilly act that was recording for the Four Star recording company back in 1952, on the Gilt Edge label. Nickname was the "Dixieland Drifter". His first three releases were all original tunes by him. He served aboard the USS Yorktown and was aboard in May, 1942 during the Battle of the Coral Sea. He was awarded the Navy Distinguished Flying Cross from Admiral Chester W Nimitz.
