Canadian manager, booking agent, club owner, and photographer from Willowdale, Ontario born 1942. In 1962 he established the Scribner Booking which merged with Roger Frazer's Quality Artists agency to form Ron Scribner Agency, Inc.. Scribner joined with Tom Wilson (28) and Fred White to establish The Bigland Agency on June 1, 1965. Wilson and White left in August 1966 and Scribner pared back to handling a small roster of top-tier bands through the Ron Scribner Agency along with his new role as part-owner with Ronnie Hawkins in The Hawks Nest nightclub in Toronto. After complaints from the American Federation of Musicians union, RSA lost its booking license and closed down in early 1967. With no booking license, Scribner retooled Bigland for management under the name Bigland Music Industry Public Relations. That company went dormant in 1971 when Scribner focused on his role as the manager of his biggest client, Funkadelic. After a few years of managing and touring the world with Clinton & his crew, Scribner returned to the booking agency business in 1973, joining Music Shoppe International as General Manager.
