Flaggs

A San Diego garage rock group, Flaggs formed in 2013 as a trio with singer/guitarist Lindsay Matheson (aka Lindsay Lee, formerly of the Nervous Wreckords), bassist Leslie Schultze (formerly of the New Kinetics), and drummer Matthew Charles Franco. They made their live debut July 13, 2013 at the Casbah, and released a self-titled EP that summer, followed by the digital single "Please Santa" that December. Schulze left the band in early 2014, moving to Oklahoma City to attend air traffic control school. Flaggs took a hiatus and reformed as a quartet, adding bassist Philip Kufek and guitarist/keyboardist Dagart Allison. This lineup prepared the band's nine-song full-length, God Hates Flaggs, planned for release in the fall of 2014, but it did not materialize; instead, the EP Beach In Her Hair was self-released that November. With Kufek replaced by local musician Diana Death, Flaggs released another EP, Take A Ride, in May 2015. The band then dissolved, with Matheson starting a new act, Locker Room Talk, in 2016.
