Angie Samiou was born Aggeliki Samiou in March 7,1960 in Piraeus, Greece. She is a popular pop/folk singer and also a radio producer. Angie Samiou wanted to be a singer from a very young age and by the early '90s she started working professionally singing in nightclubs. On her birthday in March 1992, her debut album [m821817] was released by Minos-EMI. The title track became a radio hit and she began to achieve recognition in the music industry. Her second album, entitled [m677080] was her first album at the BMG Greece music company. In 1997, she changed her music company, she went from BMG Greece to Alpha Records (6) until her last album entitled Αισθήσεις (2004). After a four-year break from the music industry she came back with the hit single Ασπιρίνη (2008), through the Heaven Music label. During that era she was also a radio producer. Finally, after many personal and professional problems she decided to leave the music industry permanently. Angie Samiou has also one of the best greek music videographies and she worked mostly with Γιώργος Γκάβαλος and Kostas Kapetanidis. She gained 3 Gold Certifications: [m823747] (1999), [m825056] (2000), Άντζυ (2001).
