Barney Ashton

Barney Ashton-Bullock is both a re-issue project manager and creative. As well as being the managing director of Strike Force Entertainment, a label distributed through Cherry Red Records, he works for London Recordings - the label that he loved growing up, where he has most recently been involved in overseeing video restorations and project managing an expanded edition of the Redskins album 'Neither Washington Nor Moscow...' He has project managed nearly 100 album re-issues and new albums by heritage artists. Alongside this work, he is also a lyricist/songwriter for Andy Bell of Erasure's 'Torsten' themed solo albums; 'Torsten' being a polysexual, semi-immortal dramatic alter-ego. Barney has also written and performed spoken word passages on Downes Braide Association albums as part of that musical collective alongside Geoff Downes (Buggles, Asia, Yes) and super-producer Chris Braide. He also writes collections of poetry themed to both of the bands he is associated with. The latest photo-poetry book that was made for the Andy Bell is Torsten project was 2020's 'F**kpig Zeitgeist!' which sold out within a weekend and the latest poetry booklet associated with the Downes Braide Association is 'Bucolicism - Alt-Lite Lyric Verse For A Post Pastoral England' which is available through Cherry Red Records.
