Western Music Hall of Fame inductee, 21 Nov 2009. Now retired, Babe played lead and rhythm guitar and sang baritone and bass. He was one of the first members of Russ Wolfe's 'Flying W Wranglers' in Colorado Springs as early as 1953. While there, he teamed up with fellow Wranglers Don Wilmot and Cy Scarborough who recorded as "The Three Flames," and with Wilmot alone on separate recordings. He left the Flying W along with his brother Larry who also performed there to start their own outfit at Estes Park, Colorado called the "Bar B Wranglers." Later, he moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he started "The Bar-J Wranglers" which features his sons Scott and Bryan as members. In 2010 he published his autobiography "My Life's Ride to the Bar J Chuckwagon," which is available from Amazon.
