Marta Moreleón

Martha Moreleón is a musician and actress from Mexico, who moved to Athens, Greece in 1987, where she remains until now. She was born in Mexico City, where she studied theater with Pedro Brachet, and later on the Actor’s studio Dimitrios Sarras, music at the Superior School of Music, and classical singing with the great tenor José Pulido. Being an active member of the movement of the New Song (Nueva Canción) in her country, she has worked with many renowned artists and participated in festivals around the world. She has also been awarded as an actress in Mexico. She’s a vocal expression teacher, an actor’s coach and an alternative therapist, working with singers, actors and directors. She sings various types of music, such as traditional songs and nueva canción from Latin America, bolero, Brazilian Popular Music, Latin jazz, jazz standars and Greek songs.
