(1948-2019) Was an American composer, conductor, and educator located in the Washington, DC area. Among the four founding members of the Conference of Roman Catholic Cathedral Musicians. A founder and artistic director of the American Repertory Singers. He served as a musical advisor to the USCCB, taught at Mt. St. Mary's College, and was a professor of graduate conducting at St. John's University. He also served as artistic advisor and conductor at various institutions. Nestor was commissioned to compose for Pope Benedict XVI's 2008 visit to Washington, D.C. His commissioned works became a significant part of his output, with larger works for The Catholic University of America.
