Hip-Hop at it’s finest with production from Denaun Porter (Kon Artis of D12). Damien Pittman AKA Big Dame, was raised in Detroit, Michigang by his mother. Motivated by his Dad a local DJ, his older brother and cousin who were hip-hop heads, young Dame found a love for hip-hop at an early age. Wanting to find his place in the world at age 13 and a undeniable hunger to build his craft, Dame left home. “Believing what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.” Big Dame later met Kon Artis who has production credits for Eminem, Xzibit (multiply), Busta Rhymes (Riot) and G-Unit’s “Stunt 101”, not to forget 50 Cent’s P.I.M.P.. Kon Artis instantly signed him to a production deal and taught him the necessities in making it in this industry. Youn can catch Big Dame rocking any mic available to him. He has performed at some of the local clubs in Detroit with a great response and has had a couple of radio airplays. He’s been friends with Obie Trice since the age of 8. That relationship allowed him to tour Canada with Obie in February 2004 and build a larger fan base. This past July Dame spent time crossing multiple state lines, partying and opening for D12. With the last stop in Detoit, on August 1, 2004 he performed at the State Theater which holds 3,000 people. Big Dame hopes to release his new album he recently finished within the next year. “My songs are more personal. I want them to understand me as an artist. This album was a chance for me to grow as a writer and an artist. I felt free, because I could go into th studio and talk about whatever I wanted. I’m so critical of myself that it’s scary to have to depend on your own instincts.” Dame is a cross between Scarface and the late great Biggie. It’s not just music he brings, it’s life lessons.
