New Jersey born DJ/Producer Keven "Maroda" Hendricks was introduced to the world of dance music in 1997 by a family friend who promoted underground raves across the Tri-State area. Amazed by this new and profound sound, Keven spent 2 years collecting vinyls, both old and new, before taking up DJing himself in 1999. His love for the rising euro-trance sound, combined with his passion for the older styles of dance, lead him to create something different in his sets. He also proved he was not one dimensional, have the ability to cross over from hip hop to house, pleasing a wider audience. Things continued to progress up-hill over the next 2 years, landing numerous residencies at venues from New Jersey to Connecticut. Yet, Keven yearned for something more. He wanted to take it to the next level, and broke into producing to 2002. "Having an open mind keeps me on the edge", says Keven, "I get inspiration from all forms of dance, whether its drum n bass or straight up house. The day I get a one track mind is the day I know its time to hang it up." With a work ethic only matched by his imagination, Keven is set out not just to make you dance, but to broaden your mind.
