Kristina Winiarski

Swedish cellist, born July 30, 1994 in Stockholm. She is educated at the Royal Academy of Music's chamber music education at Edsberg Castle in Sollentuna, and received her soloist diploma at Malmö Academy of Music for Torleif Thedéen in 2019. She has also studied for Valter Dešpalj at Zagreb Music Academy and is an alumnus in the cello class Cliol d'ex Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, where she studied for cellist Gautier Capuçon in the years 2017-2018. Winiarski is the recipient of the Firmenich Prize from the Verbier Festival in Switzerland 2018 and Anders Wall's major music scholarship in 2019. In 2019, she won the competition "Young & Promising" together with the pianist Pontus Carron. In 2020, she was a finalist in the Soloist Prize competition and made her debut with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. In August 2021, she will make her debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Stockholm Concert Hall.
