Dery

Born in northern Spain, he first started his music career playing in a local band of unknown name. It is not very clear how he met the band "Virgenes Mutantes", where he played a very basic role, playing at least in two recorded occasions, yet he was instrumental for the release of their first (and only) album, as he paid in full for the printing of the vinyl. After vanishing from the Spanish punk music scene, he re-appeared in Miami, writing songs for various artists. Apparently having left the front row, he was revered by several artists by his writing style and became quite popular in the independent music scene. Having supported financially several ventures, that turned very positive, he retired at 28, focusing on his passion for poetry and classical music. In an interview for Classic Matters in 2013 he mentioned that his passion for playing the Cello "... I have always loved classical music, specially cello music, I am a great lover of Bach and I always wanted to play the instrument, but due to family problems, I never had a chance to learn. I found some pleasure playing the bass in the past, and I learned to play the guitar too, but nothing really fills my heart as the profound sound of the cello...".
