Biography The rock musician and songwriter from Templin (Uckermark) has always felt very closely connected to the music with the emotionally striking and smoky voice. Born in 1966, the singer completed his musical training as a guitarist and singer at the music school in Neubrandenburg in 1988. After first successes with the rock band "Taufrisch" from 1986 to 1990, it was above all the time with "Uwe Kolberg & Band" from 1991 to 2001 that shaped him as a musician and songwriter. With releases like "Mach's gut", "Kinderzeit" or "Zeitgedanken" the band received a wide attention. In 1993 "Uwe Kolberg & Band" was promoted as the official junior band of the radio station Antenne MV and toured with the Backstreet Boys, Nena and Purple Schulz throughout Germany. Although he has been on the road as a soloist for many years, he never loses interest in working with other projects. For example, from 2010 to 2012, he was a guest musician with the acoustic pop project "Blackbird" from Berlin – together with Ivonne Fechner and Bodo Kommnick (both formerly LIFT), who have also accompanied Uwe Kolberg as producers in the studio for years. In 2001, Uwe Kolberg founded his solo project "Uwe Kolberg Live" (since 2015 "Uwe Kolberg"), a show with professional half-playbacks and live instruments such as electric guitar and piano. With this project he can be seen at many top events in Germany, e.g. at "Rock GEGEN Rechts" 2004 in Rostock, as support of Matthias Reim 2005 in Frankfurt Oder and at the "Baumblütenfest" 2013 in Werder. Since 2011 he has been on tour with his acoustic project "Uwe Kolberg unplugged", a mixture of many own and international songs, played with acoustic guitar, foot percussion and piano. Here he feels musically most "home", enthused with his very own and emotional manner at many small and large events throughout Germany, e.g. at small "living room concerts", in clubs, at company events or at top events, among other things as support at Michy Reincke 2012 in Greifswald, at Purple Schulz 2014 in Fürstenberg, at the big New Year's Eve party 2015 at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin or at the International Green Week 2016 in Berlin. Since August 2015, Uwe Kolberg has been supporting the association "Uckermark gegen Leukemia" (https://verein-ugl.jimdo.com). The association regularly organizes charity concerts - and supports affected people and their families in the Uckermark, barnim and beyond with the collected donations. The association also finances typing actions that take place regularly. In July 2016, Uwe Kolberg starts his next project: his own acoustic round "Uwe Kolberg's Songwriter Circle". After several guest appearances at Tom Cunningham's acoustic round "Songwriters in the Round" from Berlin, Uwe Kolberg will initially take over the moderation and artistic direction for the follow-up project "Songwriters Explosion" at the Multicultural Center (MKC) in Templin in 2012. also supervises this sound and light technology. Together with the MKC, he invites national and international artists seven times and takes the audience together with them into the wonderful world of acoustic music. But Uwe doesn't just want to continue this project in one location. And so his own on-tour version "Uwe Kolberg's Songwriter-Circle" is created. After a very successful premiere at the "20th Brandenburger Wasserfest 2016" in Fürstenberg, he is now also on tour in other cities with this on-tour project. In the same year another new project "Uwe Kolberg's Christmas Concerts" follows. In doing so, he fulfilled a long-awaited wish, because even as a child he loved Christmas carols. In December 2015 he released his own acoustic version of the Christmas classic "Silent Night" at CHOICE OF MUSIC from Hamburg. After the first live performances, the idea came to build a concert project with the most famous German and also some English Christmas hits. With the big Christmas singing at the Christmas markets Lauchhammer and Prenzlau he opened his concert project "Uwe Kolberg's Christmas Concerts" in 2016. The reactions of the visitors, the organizers and the press were remarkable: "That's enthusiastic, it's funny, you just get to sing along - pure Christmas atmosphere!" Since 1994, Uwe Kolberg has worked in various music projects, e.g. as musical director at "BAFF – Bands on Fixed Feet", a youth music project of the ev. Church in Joachimsthal, which was awarded as an outstanding social project by Chancellor Angela Merkel, among others. In 2012 he took over the choir of a retirement home in Altenhof near Eberswalde, leading the choir of the ev. Church Joachimsthal and privately teaches children, teenagers and adults. Since September 2017, Uwe Kolberg has been playing once a week at the "Hospiz Am Drachenkopf" (https://www.hospiz-drachenkopf.de) in Eberswalde. In a coffee round, the residents sit in the common room and sing songs, tell. It is often also about assisted dying. Uwe Kolberg: "To experience how much music helps, moves, touches ... : these moments are a special gift for me - and I am very grateful for this experience."
