He discovered and made famous several latin american composer, including Agustin Lara with whom he acted as a duo. Has been married to the Mexican actress María Félix Some estimations give 2000 as the number of songs he has recorded in his career. (22 May 1900 - 19 Nov. 1985, Querétaro, Mexico)
