Andy Scott Rosen

A New York-based jazz-influenced singer-songwriter crooner and multi-talented guitarist/pianist, Andy has a touch for writing a fine melody and composing songs with an infectious rhythm. His father was former major league baseball star Al Rosen. Although this singer-songwriter had early pop success under the stage name "Goat" when his 1996 single "Great Life" landed in a feature film, enjoying the financial rewards that come with being on a major label, his fame was fleeting. He now tends to hang out with jazz musicians, as most of the players on his more recent CDs have significant jazz credentials. He often shares the stage, performing with jazz singer/musician Madeleine Peyroux. Andy's style of jazz material is fairly lighthearted and easy-going swing, with songs that sometimes echo jazz standards, and singing them in a voice that is not exactly operatic in quality.
