Luis Rosado Vega

Mexican poet. He contributed to Yucatecan literature an extensive work in verse and prose: he wrote poetry, theater, historical stories, essays, legends, traditions and three books on political and social problems in Yucatán (Chemax, Yucatán, México, June 21, 1873- Mérida, Yucatán, México, October 31, 1958). Ricardo Palmerín musicalized the verses of "Peregrina", "Las Golondrinas", "Flores De Mayo", "Mi Tierra", "Xkokolché", "El Crucifijo", "El Nazareno", "Mi Guitarra", "Vestida De Blanco" , "Las Avecillas". Guty Cárdenas is the author of the music of "Pasión," which he later recorded in New York in 1929.
