Known as Petit Fodé was a Guinean musician born in 1942 in Kankan by Fanta Kouyaté and Dyéli Sory Dioubaté, two great artists who introduced him to the instrumental technique and then to the art of speaking. He starts as a drummer in the federal orchestra then in 1962, moving to Dabola, he switches from drums to trumpet and starts singing. In 1963 on the advice of his brother Djelimandian Dioubaté, he enrolled at the National Sports School of Conakry to improve his skills and in his spare time he offered his services to the Balla Et Ses Balladins as a guitarist. After three years he moves to Kankan with his family. Solo guitarist, for a period, he left this instrument to Balaka Sandaly to devote himself exclusively to singing with Horoya Band de Kankan. In 1978 he became General Director of the Instrumental and Choral Ensemble of Radio Télévision Guinéenne (RTG), he died in 1981 due to a car accident.
