Viv Carter

Australian musician (jazz drummer) - b. Springvale,l Vic. 2 May, 1935 - Played drums as a teen at local functions around Melbourne. Went to England in 1955 and played with various bands including Ken Colyer (1955), Cy Laurie (1956), Acker Bilk (1957-1958) and then with Bob Cort's Skiffle Group. Returned to Melbourne in 1964 then moved to Sydney in 1965 where was active in local bands into the 1990s.
