Frans Preumayr

Frans Carl Preumayr (sometimes spelled Preuijmeijer) was a German-born musician and conductor, mainly active in Sweden, born in 1782 in Ehrenbreitstein and died in 1853 in Stockholm. He played the bassoon and worked primarily in Sweden. He married Sophia, who was the daughter of his older colleague, clarinetist / composer Bernhard Henrik Crusell. Frans had two brothers, Conrad, a bassoonist and Carl, a cellist and opera singer.
