Philip Harrison

Trombone player. Born in York in 1957 and took up the trombone when he was 12 years old. He studied with Terry Nagle at the Royal Northern College of Music, before becoming a founder member of the Opera North Orchestra, in Leeds, as 1st trombone in 1978 (aged 21). Since then he's held positions with the Halle Orchestra and the CBSO (principal) and he has worked with all the top orchestras in London and the UK.
