After graduating from high school in Munich, Helmut F. Graetz (Born: 1952) first studied orchestral music at the Richard Strauss Conservatory, then became a music teacher at the University of Music and Theater, and finally music education at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, and finally did his doctorate at the Humboldt University of Berlin in musicology with Prof. Dr. Peter Wicke. As a young and ambitious musician (violin) he gained his first professional experience in the Bavarian State Theater and then played for several years in the orchestra of the Bavarian Radio.
