Herbertz

Herbertz were a Japanese oi! band from Tokyo formed in 1987 by vocalist Shoji Tanaka (nicknamed Jaws at the time, ex-Angry Ducks) from Sledge Hammer (2), guitarist Kiichi (a.k.a. Q, ex-The Alex), drummer Caca (a.k.a. Kakka or Negi, ex-The Alex, Angry Ducks and others), and bassist Masami Toida. Masami previously played in a band called Red Lion with Jun (21) from Shuffle. He'd later form and sing for Ikazuchi, 88 VMK and Donner. Caca also forms Ikazuchi with Masami. Herbertz played their first gig at Watts in Tokyo on August 24th, 1987. Some of the early Sledge Hammer songs were originally played by Herbertz.
