Фри́цис Я́нович Ро́кпелнис (Latysh. Fricis Rokpelnis; 1909—1969) — советский латышский poет и кинодраматург. Honored Worker of the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic (1959). Laureat Сталинской премии second degree (1950). Father Janisa Rokpelnis. Biography He was born on September 23 (October 6), 1909, on the farm of Alkshni (now Medzskaia volost, Grobinskogo krai, Latvia). In 1931—1933, he studied at the University of Latvia. It is printed since 1929. He wrote poetic feuilletons. Since 1934, he participated in the underground revolutionary press. In 1940—1941 — editor of the scene department of the Riga cinema studio. Participant in the Great Patriotic War [2] [3] Член ВКП(б) с 1947 года. Совместно с Ю. P. Ванагом написал гимн Латвийской ССР. В 1962—1965 годах секретарь Правления Союза кинотематистов Латвии.
