Об исполнителе:
A female-fronted Japanese metal band from Tokyo formed sometime during the mid/late '80s. Girltique originally played dark and gloomy heavy metal with a slight prog touch in their early years, but later completely changed its music style in 1990 to more melodic hard rock/glam with some pop new wave taste after a few lineup changes. The band's early lineup included the drummer, Jun (58), who later joined Ladies Room as Pussy Jun in 1989, and the bassist, Taka (Takahito Shinohara), who later joined ZOA also in 1989. The now well-known and prolific drummer, Shue Sakai also played in Girltique for a short period of time at some point around 1989. The last bassist, Seigo formed The Dead Pop Stars with former かまいたち (Kamaitachi) and Rosenfeld members in 1992 after Girltique broke up. 鬼姫 (Onihimé), the vocalist is now a well-known jazz singer under her real name, Yuko Shigeno. She also played in ZOA as a live-only keyboard player and backing vocalist from 1989. The releases during their heavy metal era are; "Girltique" demo tape (1987), "四重人格" (Shijūjinkaku) LP (1987), and a track appeared on "Hungry Days" comp LP (Recorded in 1986) which was released by Astral Lady/Mandrake Root Records in 1987. ----- Known lineup changes ----- First lineup: Vo. 鬼姫 (Onihimé), Gu.
