Sal Pace

American saxophonist and clarinetist, born August 10, 1910 in White Plains, N.Y. Played traditional jazz with Crescent City Five in New York 1924-1928, during the 1930s in Joe Haymes's band, then with Al Donahue 1940, Bunny Berigan 1941 and Charlie Spivak 1942-1945. He turned to traditional jazz again with the Dixieland revival, playing with Phil Napoleon in 1949, with Jimmy McPartland a.o. 1951-1953, then recorded three albums with Pee Wee Erwin in the mid-1950s.
