Miguel Lerdo De Tejada

Miguel Lerdo de Tejada (1869, Morelia - 1941) was a Mexican composer and pianist. His compositions are classified as light classical music. He has been described as the first popular Mexican composer, and his works include several arrangements of traditional songs in addition to original works. From 1901 to 1941 he was director of the Lerdo de Tejada Typical Orchestra, today the Typical Orchestra of Mexico City.
