African-American country music artist. Born January 7, 1927 in Kennett, Missouri, it is believed she passed away in Los Angeles in 1991. Prince recorded a rhythm & blues session for the Los Angeles-based Aladdin label in 1950, resulting in one single, "Get High" b/w "Phone Me Blues". She signed with Decca Records in 1969, and recorded with legendary producer Owen Bradley at his Bradley's Barn studio in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She was accompanied on these recordings by The Jordanaires, as well as Nashville's renowned A-Tea of studio musicians.
