'Tierra Cero' is a Mexican Boy-band that originated from the Mexican Telenovela called 'Mi Querida Isabel' (1996 to 1997), where the young actors appeared as waiters who sung and danced at a bar. In the soap opera there were around 7 actors in the band, including Paulo Quevedo (Real Name: Paulo César Quevedo de la Vega) and Christian Carabias, with other lesser known actors. Later, a contest was launched by the Mexican Celebrity Magazine 'TvyNovelas' to give the band a name, and the name that won was 'Tierra Cero'. In 1997, their first single 'Te Amaré' was included in the 'Mi Querida Isabel' Soundtrack CD and released to radio as a promotional single. The original line-up during this time was Paulo Quevedo, Christian Carabias, Rafael León (Real Name: Rafael León De Los Cobos) and Sebastián. Paulo Quevedo was the lead vocal during this time. Later that same year of 1997, their debut album was launched with Jorge Da Silva (Real Name: Jorge De Silva Murray) in replacement of Sebastián, alongside Paulo, Christian and Rafael. Their first single of their debut album was 'Porque Te Amo', while the 'Mi Querida Isabel' track 'Te Amaré' was also included in this album. For their second and third albums (1998-2000) the lineup was changed with Erick Elías and Luigi Balestra (Cousin of Daniel Merlo who is a group member of the famous latin boy-band 'Mercurio') taking the place that Jorge Da Silva (he went on to pursue acting) and Paulo Quevedo (he went to latin boy-band 'Kairo') left. Luigi Balestra was the lead vocal during this time.
