Hans Holbein

German artist and printmaker (born c. 1497, Augsburg, Germany – died between 7 October and 29 November 1543 in London, England). He is called "the Younger" to distinguish him from his father, Hans Holbein der Ältere (the Elder), an accomplished painter of the Late Gothic school.
