Daniel Irigoyen

Daniel Irigoyen is an Argentine multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, singer and composer residing in Germany. Among the most important milestones of his European career are his participation as a member of jazz-rock bands, salsa groups, fusion, Latin-jazz, accompanying singers on intercontinental tours and finally leading his own projects. It is difficult to categorize this multi-talent into a single category. In addition to the versatile singer who is, composer, arranger, producer and studious performer of various instruments: drums, congas, timbales, keyboards and guitar, is an all-terrain testamentary thinker whose texts reflect the items of a universal literature related to the eternal truths. In short Daniel Irigoyen is an insatiable musician and contestatario poet, whose creativity and hopes of change in the human species knows no limits. As a singer-songwriter, in his texts he has been concerned to highlight the arrogance and hypocrisy of mercantilist society, not as a political protest, but as a poetic message of what he has in common with other men, what men would all sing if they had a poet inside. Daniel was born in Buenos Aires where he started his musical carer as drummer, percussionist, and singer/songwriter at the end of the sixties. At that time he was one of the pioneers of "Rock Nacional", the first rock music movement worldwide using Spanish lyrics. He finally flew the military dictatorship of his country; travelling the world before settling down in Hamburg. The most important and impulse-setting element in his way of singing is rhythm. His musical repertoire extends from "Argentinian Rock", Funk, Jazz to Ethno and Latin-Fusion. " The "Total Art" is what Irigoyen has always pursued as a musician and as a person. Attracted by "mystical" questions rather than philosophical ones, he conceives the divinity as the unmoved motor of the universe and the final cause of all things.
