James Masson

Guitarist, audio engineer and electronic music producer — originally from from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Since 2007 James has resided in Berlin, Germany. From approx. April 1991 to late 1991 (*before the release of 'Fun Hurts!'), Masson was the lead guitarist in the band Nursery Crimes. He also worked at Birdland Studios from 1993 to 1998. Since 2008 Masson has worked at Klangbild Studios Berlin. *It remains unclear whether 'James Masson' contributed to the recording of 'Fun Hurts', because the release only displays first name credits for the band members: "James — Guitar / Piano". This is confusing because Masson was replaced on guitar by 'James McInnes', who has one written-by credit on the March 1992 album 'Fun Hurts!'.
