Harold Lucas who founded the Clovers with James “Toy” Walton and Robert Russell (who both joined the Clovers in 1961 for their Drive It Home single on Atlantic). The lead was Roosevelt “Tippie” Hubbard who replaced Billy Mitchell as the Clovers’ lead in 1962. There was also a fifth voice, Al Fox.
