US guitarist and record producer. Bobby Gibson was born and raised in Vancouver Washington. Bobby's family including his father were very musical. Bobby and his then wife Lois in mid 1960's founded the record label/studio Ripcord Recording Studios. Ripcord Recording Studio was built by Bobby, his then wife Lois Gibson of Abby Neil & Her Ranch Girls, The Gibson Trio & The Walt Rogers Four and Bobby's mother-in-law. Bobby played and recorded with many artists throughout his career. He was a Gretsch Endorsed Artist and often performed at the Chet Atkins Convention. Bobby's Music was a big part of the Portland / Vancouver Music Scene. The Gibson Trio was also a band in which his wife Lois played guitar & sang, Denny Kelso was on Drums and of course Bobby on Guitar. They also played the Vegas Circuit. In 2018 Bobby was inducted into The National Thumbpicker's Hall of Fame.
