Ian McLeish

Ian McLeish has spent a lifetime in music - as a songwriter, a producer, a publisher, a musician, a disc jockey and as a manager and owner of music stores. His personal library includes over 5,000 cds. 16,000 vinyl records, upwards of 3,000 music books and countless files and magazines. He has consulted, edited, written about music and has released archival CDs on Ottawa artists the Staccatos / Five Man Electrical Band, the Esquires, the Children, the Townsmen, and James H. Robinson. Several more releases are currently being prepared. He has archived and digitally preserved hundreds of reel-to-reel tapes, records and cassettes of Canadian artists and is passionate about saving pre-CANCON Canadian music of any variety. He is currently the only legal distributor of Hall of Fame fiddler Ward Allen's music.
