He was the designated music photographer for Dutch newspaper giant 'De Telegraaf' for over 15 years, documenting hundreds of live concerts and up-close portraits of world renowned artists like e.g. Eminem, Prince, Mary J. Blige., Madonna etc. He also documented the 1988 US tour of Dutch legend Herman Brood. Also, Michel gained more fame photographing for album covers, like the issued CD series of a weekly 'unplugged sessions' radio show called '2 Meter Sessies' and many other album covers like Hallo Venray's iconic sleeve of The More I Laugh, The Hornier Due Gets! or Star Time. During one of the '2 Meter Radio Sessions' in 1992, Linssen photographed Kurt Cobain, whilst performing in Nirvana's acoustic sessions, but most notably during breaks and in between recordings. It were these black & white photo’s (one in particular), that gained worldwide acknowledgment and praise, getting published in international magazines for countless times ever since. Michel Linssen currently lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
