Max Lager's New Orleans Stompers

The band started in 1979 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The first time Max Lagers played, it was like a "pick band" where free musicians from other bands were gathered for a gig at the Jazzhuset, Göteborg in Gothenburg. However, the result was so successful that Max Lagers continued to live and develop. Max Lager's New Orleans Stompers is today one of Sweden's leading traditional jazz bands.
