Egon Schiele

Austrian painter (June 12, 1890 – October 31, 1918). A protégé of Gustav Klimt (2). A major figurative painter of the early 20th century and an early exponent of Expressionism, although still strongly associated with the art nouveau movement (Jugendstil).
