Ernie Barnes

Ernie (born July 15, 1938, died April 27, 2009) , an American artist and best remembered for his cover painting on Marvin Gaye’s “I Want You” album. The original copy sold on May 12th 2022 for $15.3 million at Christie's 20th Century auction, and is currently owned by Eddie Murphy.
