Richard Simpson (7)

1960s-1970s soul and gospel producer from New York City. Founded the Simpson Records and Simco Records (2) labels. Often referred to as "Bishop" because he liked gospel, he also did some cover design, photography, and wrote liner notes. Besides the releases on Simpson Records, he mainly worked with releases for Vee Jay Records, Peacock Records and Atlantic and related sub-labels.
