Tintoreros was an Argentine band formed in 1991. Descendants of Japanese, they consolidated their formation in 1994 and went out to tour the circuit of the Federal Capital and Greater Buenos Aires. That same year they released their first production of the same name. The following year they signed a record contract with DBN and were included in the compilation "Alta Atencion", along with Actitud María Marta and Las Manos de Filippi among other new artists on the Buenos Aires alternative scene. During the months of December and February 1996 Tintoreros recorded their first CD, "Primate" with the production of Sr. Flavio (from Los Fabulosos Cadillacs). The themes "Never" and "Sufficient" were chosen as broadcast cuts, with separate video clips. They participate in the Alternative Rock & Pop Festival along with foreign bands such as Cypress Hill and Marilyn Manson, among others. They also played alongside N.O.F.X. and D.F.L. After being chosen as a revelation group by various media, they released their third production, an EP called "Traición" (1997). During 1998 his works were published in North America by the Universal label. In May of that year they were the support of Pantera, playing in the Sarmiento Park of Buenos Aires before some 12,000 people. During the first months of 2000 the band, with production by Pablo Guyot and Alfredo Toth, recorded and released "Chas Park", a plate that includes a cover by the popular English group The Smiths. In December 2001 they participated in the "Radical Music Network Tour" where they toured with Japanese and Chinese bands through 7 cities in Japan with great success, managing to edit "Chas Park" by the Japanese label Bellwood Records.
