Charlesworths

The Charlesworths were formerly known as The Swinging Fishermen [formed May 1983]. They comprised of: Reg Charlesworth [formerly Captain Reg Birdseye]: vocals, bass, synth, Bontempi organ, drum programming, melodica, percussion & tapes] Bob Charlesworth [formerly Skipper Bob Findus]: vocals, guitars, synth, Bontempi organ, drum programming, saxophone, melodica, swannee flute, saxaflute & tapes] The Bontempi organ [upon consecration as a Holy Relic, it became known as 'The Grand Bontempi'] is intrinsic to The Charlesworths/Swinging Fishermen history; it was manufactured by Chad Valley, artisan instrument manufacturers, and originally belonged to Bob's school friend, Sean Connelly [guitarist in UK punk band, Anthrax] who sold the organ to them for £5 English pounds.
